Hey guys!
Someone asked me to make a more in depth game review, so here it is! I have already made a little review of this game in my first post, but I'll just restate myself.
Assassin's Creed 3:
First off, this is an interesting game (obviously, it's assassin's creed lol). The controls in this game are a lot easier in my opinion compared to the other Assassin's Creed game I have played (Brotherhood). You just have to hold down the right trigger in order to run up things and what not. It's also a lot easier to fight in this game. The only thing that I had to figure out the hard way, haha, is that when Connor is still training to be an assassin he can't fight the guards with the pointy(technical term, oh yeah!) hats. But when he becomes an assassin he pretty much kills someone within two seconds. Just gotta hold the circle button to block and the x button to attack after it goes into slow motion, which is SOOOO much easier than the other games.
Something that's really annoying about this game is when you are level 3 notorious, you literally can't walk anywhere without being attacked and it gets really annoying when you're trying to do things. You have to creep around and hide in the hay stacks and in the water and what not, which is more realistic granted but way more annoying. You have to be completely anonymous in order to move around without being attacked. Even if you are a level 1 notorious, the guards will stare at you for a short period and then decide that you're dangerous. It can be quite hard to find the posters as well because they put them in such strange places, so the easiest thing to do is just bribe the heralds.
Another thing that is also annoying that I have stated previously in another post is the in game cinematics. OH MY GOSH! There is literally one like every five minutes! You can skip them if you hold the circle button, but I'm always afraid I'm going to miss something important so I just watch them all. But I feel like I'm watching a movie more than I'm playing a game, I bought the game to play it NOT to watch it!
The in game graphics in this game are really good! The characters look quite realistic. I think the funniest part of the game is how it starts off, Damien and the other like scientist people or whatever are riding in a car and their heads are just bobbing up and down, and that's how the game starts! It's just comical to me, I don't know if it is to anyone else, but my boyfriend found it amusing as well!
Haha, this is something really random I like about the game. You can pet the animals walking around in the streets, how awesome is that! You can't pet the piggy though :( you can only feed it lol.
This is a good game like I said, but I find myself liking the Brotherhood game better because I like the era better. That's just a personal opinion though, I've never been into the whole civil war era too much.
Another good thing about the third game is you can quick travel by just going to your map and pushing the town you want to go to instead of riding a horse or swimming there cause that takes forever! One problem I was having with the quick travel though, and I don't know if it's just me, but I would quick travel and then the map would tell me I need to go to the place that I was already at still, like it wouldn't read that I was in the place. So I don't know if that's just a glitch or what, but maybe yours is different.
Another thing I like about this game is that when your riding a horse it's a lot easier to maneuver around the towns and it doesn't take forever to jump over everything, the whole process is a lot smoother even when you're free running and you jump over a low wall.
Something about the game that drives me crazy is how much it saves itself. I don't mind the fact that it saves itself, but when it does it's not like an "in-game" save, it takes you out of the game where you're walking around in the white space thing, lol I don't know what to call it ahah. But then it takes forever for the game to reload. It just gets annoying after awhile cause you're just kinda walking around while your waiting for the game to load...and I'm not very patient lol.
I do however enjoy the little mission things that you have to do in this game. You have to eavesdrop on soldiers and random people talking about things you need to know. I also enjoy all the cleverly placed historical figures in the game such as Ben Franklin and Samuel Adams. I think it's pretty awesome that you get to command your own ship and fire cannons as well.
Overall I think this game is a pretty good game, I would recommend it to people. Like I said, I'm not too patient so this game does get a little irritating, but if I play it in small amounts it's not too bad. This is just my opinion on the game and I would definitely say that if you like the Assassin's Creed games to buy it because your opinion may be different. My boyfriend and his brother really like this game and they really enjoy playing it so everyone has their own opinion!
I hope you enjoyed this review! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Thanks for reading! :D
