Hey guys! I know I've been slacking on my blogging lately, but it's because I've been making all these yummy cookies!
My mom and I FINALLY found the perfect cookie recipe...they're amazing!
After many trial and error we came across Martha Stewart's soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Now first off, I just wanna tell all of you that these are not soft cookies. They are still crunchy like normal cookies, but they have a fantastic consistency. AND! they don't have nearly as much sugar as a normal chocolate chip cookie recipe, this recipe contains only a half cup of white sugar and a cup of brown sugar...what does that mean you ask? It means that they're still sweet (they do not lack sweetness at all) and personally I can eat a couple of them and they don't upset my stomach at all. They're wonderful! Josh tried some the other day and he was like amazed by them...and he knows his cookies! He said...and I quote "These are the best cookies you've ever made! Even better than the ones you used to make!" :D I'm telling you guys, THIS is the chocolate chip cookie recipe that you NEED to try...just try it...they're amazing! :D And let me know how they are and what you think! :)
On another note! I have a Christmas party to go to this Friday for Josh's office people. We're going on like a boat type thing for the party and since it's on the water...I'm gonna be freezing! It's a "cocktail" attire kind of party so I have to wear a dress and what not and I get cold reallllyy easily so I can't just not wear anything on my legs. So, I went shopping for stockings today... Let me tell you! I never knew how hard it was to find footed stockings! I went to Walmart and they wanted 6 dollars for 1 pair of footed tights! That's just absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. They didn't sell stockings, but the tights were like the opaque kind or whatever, but that's not going to work for me, lol. I went to Roses and they had footed tights for like 3 dollars, but you could tell that they would run within the first time you wore them..so I didn't get them. Then I went to the mall and went to Forever 21, they didn't sell them. Went to American Eagle, cause I figured they had like "the cutsey kind of winter clothing" and they had them...BUT! They wanted me to pay 12.50 for them! Uhm no thank you! So my mom and I like ran out of the store and I was like, well let's try Rue 21, maybe they'll have them! Went in there, got distracted by clearance of course, and low and behold! Warm, thick, footed tights for 8 dollars, which I was willing to pay because I know they're gonna keep me warm. They have like fleece inside of them and I think it's worth it. So yeah..that was my stocking story. Hahha. :)
Now I have something to rant about lol. They decided to do construction on a highway close to my house....at 3 in the afternoon in like the busiest intersection. What the heck! Is it really necessary to do that at that time...do it in the middle of the night! People got things to do and places to go! And then you get the idiots that go as far as possible until they HAVE to get over into the other lane just because they want to get in front of everyone else...really?! Just get over where there's a spot, you're gonna get in front of like five cars BIG WHOOP! I was literally leaving a big huge space open for cars to get in, because I'm nice like that :P Lol, but for real...people were just like zooming by and I'm like HELLOOO!!! I have a big huge spot RIGHT HERE!
Anyways....lol. I needed to get that out. I gave my Trixie a bath today. She really needed one. Now I have a clean dogggiee! :)
Well, I made 3 batches of cookies dough, so I'm going to finish baking all of them!
Thanks everyone for reading!
