Hannibal...the T.V. Show

Ahhh....where do I even start with this show?
Josh and I have been watching this show since it premiered last year...and OH MY GOSH. I have never in my life watched a t.v. show that was put together so well with such a great story line, great actors, and amazing gore (yes I just said amazing gore...).
Let me start from the beginning..Josh asked me if I would be interested in watching this with him and I said yes..not ever hearing about it or really even being interested in it. The first episode was slow...but I immediately noticed how great it was put together and that was enough to make me watch the second one. The second episode was still a little slow..but by the third one I was hooked. The twisted, eerie, and almost beautiful (yes beautiful) air of this show is so captivating. Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Hannibal Lector in the show, is unassuming but in the same sense creepy as mess. Hugh Dancy who plays Will Graham, who seems dorky and like a strange person for the role, ends up being a fantastic actor. The pair, Mads and Hugh together, end up meshing perfectly and every time I watch this show I feel as if it is really happening...they suck you in and entrap you in this world that you don't understand, but you understand perfectly all at the same time. ALSO, Laurence Fishburne is in this show..and let's face it, who doesn't like him? (haha).
Now before you read any further, if this show sounds awesome to you and you're going to go watch it right after you read this post...let me warn you, this show is NOT for a weak stomach. After the initial introductory episodes, there is a new gory and twisted murder case in each episode after...and I don't mean like someone was stabbed a couple of times. To show you what I mean I will give you some examples...one episode someone turns a person into a violin/cello by slicing their throat open and sticking the head of a violin/cello down their throat...and they play him like this instrument.(What?! What?!) In another episode, someone fillets the back of a person to look like angel wings and they attach wires to the ceiling to make it look like the wings are spread open....yes...if you think you can handle this...WATCH IT. It is awesome, lol. If you don't know who Hannibal is...you must be on a different planet..but he eats people, so if you think you can't handle that fact in itself, this is not the show for you.

The show is in it's second season right now, and it just keeps getting better and better. There is a lot of symbolism in it, and at times it is hard to understand so you definitely need to watch it intently..but man is it worth it! I will also note that the guy who plays Hannibal, has a pretty thick Danish accent, so at times when he says stuff you're just like what? ..haha. I know I have to ask Josh a couple of times throughout each episode..what did he say? (I am not very good with deciphering accents though so this may be another reason...) This show is so great that it even has it's own fandom now, and yes obviously I am a part of this...ahha. They call their people...fannibals. There is a large following for this t.v. show and once you watch it you will understand why. It messes with your brain, but in the best way possible..I literally can not say enough about it.

It's eerie, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, it makes you question, it entwines you into a circling story, and it is probably one of the best T.V. shows I have ever invested my time in....along with Breaking Bad.
I highly highly recommend that you watch this...it is on demand right now, but the first season costs money..you can probably find it online somewhere there. If you watch this show DO NOT start at the second season, you need to watch it from the very beginning to get the full effect of everything and to understand exactly where everyone came from and how they get to the point that they are now.
If you do decide to watch it, let me know what you think about it.
As always thank you for reading my blog. :)
You guys are the bomb! :)
